It may sound incredible but this clever bird has not only realised that the window is a as impenetrable as a wall, it has also observed and understood that the flys and horse flys are not aware of this transparent wall and fly straight into it. Depending on their speed and the angle they hit the glass they are lying either dead or dazed on the window sill – easy prey and ready to be picked! Instead of trying to catch the flying insects, all our intelligent blackbird has to do is to regularly check his giant fly trap. Ever so much easier thatn catching worms!

Es klingt unglaublich, aber dieser clevere Vogel hat nicht nur verstanden, dass das Fenster so undurchdringlich ist wie eine Mauer, er hat auch beobachtet und begriffen, dass die Fliegen und Bremsen diese durchsichtige Wand nicht erkennen und direkt hineinfliegen. Je nach Fluggeschwindigkeit und dem Winkel in dem sie auf das Glas auftreffen, liegen sie dann entweder tot oder benommen auf der Fensterbank – leichte Beute und einfach einzusammeln! Statt hinter fliegenden Insekten herzuhechten, braucht unsere intelligente Amsel nur regelmäßig ihre riesige Fliegenfalle zu überprüfen. Wer will da noch Würmer fangen?
